Certificate of Verification Ensuring your existing electrical work meets the current standards.

What is a Certificate of Verification (COV)?

An electrical Certificate of Verification covers a variety of instances to ensure your existing electrical works meet the current standards. This not only gives you peace of mind that work has been correctly undertaken, it can also be required by banks, council and insurance companies.

Certificate of Verification for Reconnection

A Certificate of Verification is required when a site has been disconnected for more than 6 months. A Certificate of Verification ensures that the site is suitable for use as is, or is safe to be re-livened if the power has been disconnected.

Our Premier Electrical inspector will check all electrical works are compliant, if successful our inspector will issue a Certificate of Verification and co-ordinate the reconnection of power if required.

 Periodic Certificate of Verification

A Periodic Verification Inspection can be requested by third parties who have an invested interest i.e council, insurance companies and banks. Periodic Verification inspections are required for older properties or properties that have issues or no code of compliance with existing electrical works.

Our Premier Electrical inspector will complete an inspection on site as per regulations and make recommendations should electrical works fail to meet compliance.

Once our inspector is satisfied work has been performed competently a Certificate of Verification will be provided with a detailed electrical inspection report. This report can be passed on to confirm your property meets the standard requirements. The electrical report should be left on site for reference for any future electrical works.
