If you supply electricity to a vehicle, tent or boat - there needs to be certification
If you own or manage a business that supplies power to caravans, motorhomes or boats, you need to ensure you have an up-to-date Certificate of Verification (COV) to demonstrate you have met all the required electrical safety standards.
The COV will cover:
If you own a caravan, motorhome or boat, you need to renew its Electrical Warrant of Fitness (EWOF) every four years to ensure it can be safely connected to a power supply.
This is to meet the requirements of the Electricity Act 1992 - you won’t be able to connect to the power supply at a campground or marina berth or hire out your boat or caravan unless it has a valid EWOF.
Premier Electrical can supply a qualified electrical inspector to provide you with a EWOF – you will get sticker for the window of caravan, motorhome or boat as well as a paper copy of the certification. We will also send out a friendly reminder before your next EWOF is due!
Servicing all areas of Auckland, North Shore and Rodney.
